A football tournament designed by Chennai Syro Malabar Mission was played by Pithruvedhi (above 35 years) of Syro Malabar churches in Chennai.

The tournament was inaugurated by Msgr. Jose Palatty, Co-ordinator of Chennai Mission. It was a 7-s-Side tournament played at Christ the King Church, Poonamallee school ground. The church teams were from Little Mount, Velachery, Perambur, Gowrivakkam, Ambattur, Valsaravakkam, Avadi, Thiruvottiyur, Keelkattalai, Mugappair, Ayanavaram, Athipet, Poonamallee, & Pattabhiram.
